White rectangle

No idea why I see a small white rectangle over the credit for the photo - I don't see it in Preview ...

  1. Very odd! If my posts aren't displaying how I expect them to I sometimes find it helpful to click on the HTML tab when editing the post, and see if anything looks odd there. (I'm no great shakes at HTML so this ends up being a bit of trial and error usually!)

  2. Hi,

I've had a quick look at the html for that post. (You can do that for any webpage by going to View>Page source in your browser). I used the Find function (Ctrl F) to look for the code near the suspect rectangle (I searched for the text nearby: 'ihave3kids'). It seems that a little tiny extra bit of image code has snuck in there. The caption looks like this in html:

All the stuff between < and > is the image code and has put that little box there. If you edit the post in the HTML view, you can Ctrl+F to find this bit and delete it out.

As for how it got there - no idea!

  3. Thanks to you both, Annie, and Katie! I've managed to edit out the odd white rectangle via the HTML editing bit. I suppose that I must have done something to get it there, but I don't know what ...
